Monster High

Monster High is the hilarious first installment of a relatively new series by Lisi Harrison, the author of The Clique series. This series takes some of the classic monsters, such as Dracula and Frankenstein, and gives them children.

Monster High has alternating chapters, moving between the monster children or RAD’s (Regular Attribute Dodgers) and a normal teen girl or ‘normie’. Frankie Stein, the fifteen-day-old granddaughter of Frankenstein, is one of the RAD’s. She must hide her true identity while attending high school, including covering her mint green skin with makeup. Melody Carver is a normal teenage girl, new to town. She had no idea that RAD’s even existed until a series of very amusing events involving her next door neighbor occur.

There are many amusing twists and turns throughout this novel. It will leave you itching to read the next volume in the series.

This book rates a 10 out of 10.
