Lollipop Chainsaw is an instant hit in the hack-and-slash category.
Juliet Starling is an 18-year-old high school cheerleader at San Romero High. She also happens to be a chainsaw-wielding zombie hunter. On her birthday, her school was overrun with zombies. Eventually, it is revealed that zombie rock lords have begun taking over. With the help of health-boosting lollipops, a boyfriend with a head and no body, and kick-ass purchasable combos, Juliet must defeat them to save her high school. Overall, Juliet is a very happy, very playable character. This game also boasts purchasable costumes and music, although the soundtrack is pretty kick-ass without the additions. Juliet also has the ability to sparkle hunt, which earns her bonuses for decapitating chains of three or more zombies at the same time.
The one major downfall to this game is that it only takes about five hours to run through the game.
This game deserves a 9 out of 10 overall.
